Free AI Metadata Remover | Strip C2PA & AI Tags from Images

Upload or drop an image, audio file or video. Inspect hidden data and choose what to remove.

What the remover changes

Remove hidden AI metadata while preserving supported image data

AI editors and export tools can store prompts, seeds, generation parameters, software names, GPS coordinates and edit history inside an image when those fields are enabled. They are not visible in the pixels, but metadata readers and publishing platforms may still inspect them.

ClearTags reads ordinary EXIF, XMP and IPTC fields separately from signed C2PA Content Credentials. You see what was found first, then choose whether to remove every supported metadata block or only sections such as prompts, location data or the embedded C2PA manifest.

For supported JPEG, PNG and WebP cleanup, the encoded image payload is copied without decoding or recompressing it. The visible pixels keep 100% of their existing quality while the selected container metadata is removed from the new copy.

If a format requires a local rebuild instead of lossless container cleanup, the result is explicitly marked before download. Processing stays in the browser, and your original file remains unchanged on your device.
